My Friends Like the Word "Fuck."

Last week, Jenny Owen Youngs got all jiggy with/without the word "fuck" in her new music video. And now Terra just released this censored version of the video for her song "Up Here" where the word is all up in the mix.

Peep the scene:

If you'd like to see the UNCENSORED version, go to her official website at www.terranaomi.com and look in the member/vip area.

Terra Does Smashing Pumpkins

Terra just posted this video on youtube. She's been on tour with the Fray in the UK for the past few days and wanted to do really natural recordings each night after the show for people who couldn't make it. This vid and this cover is now a new favorite of mine...wow:

Totally reminds me of being on the road with her going across the country each day/night...and her singing along to the radio, kinda blowin' my mind a bit. The transportation is a bit bigger, the accomodations are fancier and the crowds...HUGE, but that's still Terra. Love that girl. *sigh*

Oh and for those of you just joining us, Terra Naomi is one of my best friends, she's American but lives in London currently, and she's straight. Um, I think that covers the top 3 questions I get concerning her:-)

My gift to you...

Some of you already know the artist I'm going to share with the class today. But believe it or not, there are LOTS of people who don't! So sit back and prepare to have your lives slightly altered changed, FOREVER. :-)

Patty Griffin is my favorite songwriter. Introducing me to her music was one of the greatest things my friend Terra has ever done for me (and she's done some pretty incredibly things for me!) I finally got to see Patty in concert earlier this year, and it was the ONLY time I've ever cried during a show, no matter how moved I've been. It caught me completely by surprise. But her music really has helped me through some of the toughest times in my life so it makes sense that it had that great of an effect on me.

I don't want to depress you right out of the gate, but this is the only vid clip I could find where you can hear my favorite Patty song in its entirety. Believe it or not, this song was written years before Hurricane Katrina hit.

"Forgiveness"
